Bethulie Manor is the country home of Tim & Liezl Zunckel, their children, Wynand, Nicki & Christiaan and three dogs.

Situated on the edge of the grassy Karoo, Bethulie offers old world charm, small town living, rich South African history, an abundance of nature, fresh air and the opportunity to relax in a country setting. Bethulie is situated 30km from the N1 between Johannesburg and Cape Town and is also well positioned for travellers between Gauteng and Port Elizabeth.

Tim & Liezl renovated Bethulie Manor in 2011 and moved in to celebrate the new year in December that year. Bethulie Manor was a house that spoke to the family offering an expansive garden, peaceful environment and home filled with charm and character. Summers are spent on the lawn, under the trees and in the mist of cool underground water, whilst winters at Bethulie Manor are of for log fires and trips to the neighbouring Eastern Cape looking for snow!

Over the years two more properties have been added to Bethulie Manor to make it a sprawling small town home with two cottages and an annex. Wild Olive Cottage and 5 on Roux have been meticulously restored and decorated and are perfect spaces for travelers, families and friends to rest and enjoy the countryside.

Experience small town charm and country house living at Bethulie Manor. Conversations around the kitchen table, organic produce, bright night skies, early morning farm sounds and crisp Free State air, all create the perfect opportunity to slow down and relax.
